Gotta go with the two D.A.'s even though my running back, Tyrell Sutton, is the best football player that I've ever played with.

Tyrell Sutton & Darnell Autry.
Tyrell based on his freshman campaign alone- kid was a beast and would have broken every record had it not been for injuries and of course I hosted him on his visit.
Honorable mention: J Wright, Noah Herron, Damien Anderson

This is tough but I'll roll with Tyrell. Not the biggest, or fastest but all he did was make plays and break records.
Darnell A. Was a True Bell-Cow of a running back.

gotta go with Damien and Darnell. Darnell is the best with Damien at a close 2nd. Damien's speed is second to no RB in school history and if breaks just stop running, but Autry was as true of a RB as it gets. Vision, power, speed and the definition of a workhorse

Some people say Damien was a product of the system. Fine. But his numbers are still the best in NU history and that's hard to ignore. I would take that system product right now any day. Autry was the star on the Rose Bowl team, enough said.

After seeing all of them live (I'm getting old)... I honestly think Sutton was the best all around back. Injuries did get him. Autry was the best true old school back, DA was probably the fastest and Vendric was the most explosive NU offensive player I have seen in my 20 years of watching.

I must say we have had one HELL of a run of RBs. Even the ones that didn't start or star....beasts. Man, when Torri Stuckey first got to school I thought we had a pro easily.... Louis Ayeni had a lot of talent and some said was better than DA when I was in school...JWright for sure was fun to watch and probably the person I was closest with.... Noah Herron so versatile... some of the guys from the last 5-10 years...We were always 2-3 deep every year. Props to our recruiting over the years through 3 coaches.
